Laminaria Ochroleuca is a brown algae also named golden seaweed and is a specific lipidic membrane extract, which includes stabilising compounds like phosphatidylcholine, alpha lipoic acid derivatives and vitamins. 

Its actions preserve dermo epidermal junction and dermis cells, while stimulating collagen and GAGs. It maintains the epidermal skin physiology and reduces sun burn cells and neuro-pigmentation while protecting DNA and decreasing the release of MMP and regulating photo and chronic inflammation.

ARGIRELINE® is synonymous as the first peptide for targeting expression wrinkles — fine lines and wrinkles caused by skin tension that is a result of repeated facial muscular contractions. ARGIRELINE® reduces muscle contractions and subsequently lessen the formation of expression wrinkles. ARGIRELINE® interferes with the formation and stability of the complex and induces muscle relaxation instead of contractions. 

Unlike Botulinum Neurotoxins (BoNTs) which is famously used in cosmetics but result in muscle paralysis, ARGIRELINE® is a safe topical alternative. Additionally, the peptide also inhibits glutamate release to discourage anti-expression wrinkle activity.

Axolight® is a solution rich in arabinoxylo-oligosaccharides with lightening properties. It works through an innovative mechanism of action that inhibits melanogenesis by targeting tyrosinase and tyrosinase-related protein-1 (TRP-1).

Recent scientific data have shown that TRP-1 acts in the first step of melanogenesis. Axolight® has also been proven to be more effective in lightening the skin compared to arbutin.

Canadian Willowherb comes from northern Canadian Prairies plants that have developed strong phytochemical properties to survive the harsh climate. Epilobium angustifolium is a fire succession plant, which means it is among the first plants to regrow after a fire.

Canadian Willowherb contains bioactive molecules such as oenothein B, which has 5-a-reductase inhibitory activity, antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties and its primary function is as a non-steroidal anti-irritant ingredient. In vitro experiments have demonstrated free radical scavenging ability. In addition, it shows strong antibacterial activity on P. acnes. Its anti-irritant and redness reduction properties have been clinically demonstrated, showing a strong reduction of skin redness induced by chemicals or UV exposure within 30 minutes of use.

Coenzyme Q10 is a fat-soluble compound with a chemical structure similar to vitamin K. The "Q10" refers to 10 isoprenoid units attached to a quinone ring. In humans, coenzyme Q10 is most prevalent; in other species, coenzymes Q6, Q7, Q8, and Q9 dominate.

The highest concentrations of endogenous coenzyme Q10 are found in the heart, liver, kidney, and pancreas of humans. There are two physiological forms of coenzyme Q10 that are also available as supplements: the oxidised form (ubiquinone) and the reduced form (ubiquinol).

Preliminary clinical evidence suggests that applying a coenzyme Q10 1% cream to the skin twice daily for 5 months reduces objective wrinkle scores.

EPIDERMIST offers the skin an overall perfecting action to achieve good skin health. It is a Marine Exopolysaccharide secreted by a planktonic micro-organism in the Aber Benoît, a coastal river in the Pays de Léon region of Northwest France, Brittany. It is composed of galactose and N-acetyl-glucosamine, which are needed to synthesise glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). 

To restore good skin health, EPIDERMIST uses a multi-faceted approach to reboot the skin’s physical and chemical barriers, as well as its hydra memory (the ability to recover optimal hydration levels). FILMEXEL® is a biomimetic active ingredient that is eco-designed through innovative technology. With its interpenetrating network of natural biopolymers, this active forms a resistant, flexible, and non-occlusive film on the epidermis, thereby mimicking the skin’s properties and functions.

FILMEXEL® protects and lifts the skin with perceptible efficacy, thanks to its second-skin and anti-ageing benefits. Derived from Sugar Beet (Beta Vulgaris) otherwise known as Betaine or Trimethylglycine, it is a small amino acid derivative, which is naturally present in the cells of living organisms (plants and animals) and it occurs in the human body, especially in the skin. It is hydrophilic making it readily soluble in water for active transportation in and out of skin cells. It controls water balance, has a protein stabilising effect and is used as a skin moisturiser (immediate and longer term) and reinforces the skin's barrier.

GENENCARE™ plays a crucial role in the epidermis cohesion and skin’s barrier function and prevents the penetration of harmful substances such as allergens and pollutants into skin by increasing tight junction integrity in epidermal keratinocytes and decreases transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and keeps skin hydrated for a longer period of time while reducing the potential for skin irritation.

HILURLIP® is a non-surgical lip treatment that helps to boost the overall lip appearance. The active contains tripeptide-1 (GHK) and sodium hyaluronate (HA) to benefit the skin in three ways: anti-ageing, plumping, and moisturising.

Through advanced technology, the vehiculisation of sodium hyaluronate particles in HILURLIP® is enhanced to increase penetration and efficacy within the skin. This results in improved hydration and plumping of the lips. Moreover, GHK is a well-known reactive carbonyl species (RCS) scavenger that protects the lips from glycation and photodamage.

HYDRACTIN® is a derivative from algin, a gel-forming sugar molecule found in sea algae, papain, a protein splitting enzyme derived from the papaya fruit and ATP (adenosine triphosphate), a molecule that is the energy carrier in cell metabolism. The skin has to master a variety of tasks and ATP provides the energy needed for ion pumps that regulate osmotic pressure and water balance of the epidermis and prepares the skin for stresses lasting from just a few seconds to several hours.

The enzyme papain has a softening effect on the skin: through its protein splitting effect papain helps to remove dead flakes from the skin. Through the water retentive and film-forming properties, algin protects the skin against evaporation and it optimises the water balance of the epidermis while forming a hydrofilm on the skin and reducing the transepidermal water loss (TEWL) to encourage skin regeneration. Algin protects the skin against evaporation making HYDRACTIN® an effective moisturiser, while papain gives the skin a more youthful appearance and contributes to softening and detaching the dead skin's layers.

Hyaluronate contains sodium hyaluronate, the main component of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). Sodium hyaluronate is also the major constituent of proteoglycans. Proteoglycans are complex molecules that make up the cartilage and are responsible for firmness, elasticity, and hydration of the connective tissue. As such, sodium hyaluronate is involved in many important biological processes such as tissue repair and regeneration. 

Sodium hyaluronate is also chemically referred to as the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is known to absorb and retain large amounts of water. This helps the skin to maintain the correct humidity and moisture balance even during low humidity. Hyaluronic acid also enhances keratin’s flexibility and elasticity, which creates a lifting and relaxing effect on the skin. 

Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the skin but this percentage decreases as we age. As a result, there is reduced hydration and moisture in the skin. Since hyaluronic acid can restore the skin’s natural hydration levels, it can be combined with oils and emollients to moisturise the face and body. It treats dehydrated, undernourished, devitalised, or wrinkled skin to prevent premature skin ageing.

Hyaluronic Filling Spheres™ fill up deep wrinkles quickly through a combination of innovative technology and hyaluronic acid. A hygroscopic material is used to make the sphere, which is dehydrated at first and then filled with water within the skin. Hyaluronic acid is chosen for its high water-retaining capacity, which leads to a rapid and significant increase in hydration volume. 

Using this hydration process, it causes a change in volume proportional to the spheres’ moisture-retaining capacity. The end product is visible smoothing of fine lines and deep wrinkles in just one hour compared to biological changes that would take roughly two months. 

A patented lipid complex, which has been carefully engineered from the combination of the oils of jojoba, macadamia and olive to deliver a youthful surface lipid profile.

LIME PEARL™ is an extract from Caviar lime (Microcitrus Australasica), which is a small tree endemic to the sub-tropical rainforests of Northeasthern New South Wales and Southeast Queensland of Australia. It produces magnificent green to deep purple-black cylindrical-shaped fruits, also known as finger lime. Elongated, they are about 30-120 mm large and 10-15 mm wide and contain beautiful small caviar size capsules. 

As most citrus species, caviar lime contains various fruit acids such as citric acid. AHAs (a-hydroxy acids) or fruit acids are known to be active exfoliators due to their low pH and are widely used in chemical peels. It also contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, etc. that gently improves skin exfoliation with an innovative process by stimulating TRPV3 (Transcient Receptor Potential Vanilloid-3) synthesis, resulting in a smoother, fresher, brighter and even skin complexion from its effective and fast acting desquamation action.

LPD Lip Plumper comprises of encapsulated sea fern oil, hydroxytyrosol and organic siliceous. This combination increases antioxidant activity, improves elasticity of tissues and promotes adipocyte nourishing action for restructuring volume, resulting in fuller looking enhanced lip contours.

The action of LPD stimulates 3 essential proteins involved in the nutrition of adipocytes, namely: Adiponutrin, Perilipin and Fatty Acid Transferase (FAT). These are released to target cells and the layers of the lips while filling the area around the lips for a plumper smoother effect and to diminishes fine wrinkle lines. 

The formula also stabilises skin tissue and boosts the production of collagen and elastin so the skin becomes thicker while restoring the architecture of the dermis to re-firm the skin and reduce wrinkle reduction and flaccidit

This mineral-rich glacial water is extracted from Titlis, the largest summit (3.238m at its highest point) in a long chain of mountains located in central Switzerland. Titlis is capped with a glacier (with a surface area of 1.7km2) and lies mainly on the west and north faces of the mountain. It is one of the alpine glaciers located in this region.

The incredibly pure water flowing from the Titlis glacier was formed by a very slow process that took place over several centuries. Its purity has been well-known for a long time. Mineral-rich Swiss glacial water is infused with calcium, sodium, iron, silicon, and selenium to provide deep rehydration to the skin. Just like vitamins, minerals (or mineral salts) are essential substances that help the body to function correctly.

The Swiss glacial water also contains a high concentration of potassium which is essential for recovery, especially after strenuous activity, to maintain healthy skin. It is thus the ideal choice for daily cosmetic use.

A plant based natural carbohydrate complex otherwise known as Saccharide Isomerate and found in stratum corneum. It is highly substantive to skin, binding itself to keratin like a magnet. It stimulates key genes to improve skin barrier function, and a variety of in vivo studies confirm its ability to strengthen the skin barrier and maintain deep hydration for 72 hours. This imparts a soothing action that, due to its unique binding mechanism, is not lost when contained in rinse-off products. 

PENTAVITIN® is a highly effective moisture regulator that functions under the driest conditions where traditional moisturising agents and humectants lose their effectiveness and has shown to reduce dryness and irritation caused by the use of AHAs.

SEACODE™, the marine eraser for ageing lines, contains extracellular polymeric substances (ECPSs). SEACODE™ has an anti-ageing effect on the skin since it can enhance the in vitro synthesis of essential dermal proteins like collagen. Results have shown that SEACODE™ increased type 1 collagen synthesis by more than 100% in human dermal fibroblasts (HDFa).

SK-influx is a skin-identical lipid concentrate, which restores the protective barrier function of the skin and is a concentrated formulation, consisting of a multi-lamellar (membrane) system resembling the structure of the lipid barrier in the stratum corneum. A concentrated mix of different types of ceramides, cholesterol, free fatty acids and phytosphingosine makes it an ideal ingredient for personal care products with unique restoring capabilities. 

Application of SK-influx will result in an enhanced moisturisation and protection, ultimately leading to a less sensitive and less dry skin. Consequently, SK-influx has a wide range of applications, such as moisturising product, ageing and anti-wrinkle products, skin repair and protection.

The fruits have consequently developed a highly efficient self-defence system composed of a cocktail of various powerful antioxidant molecules to protect against violent sun-induced free radicals attack. 

Kakadu plum has been identified as the fruit with the world’s highest vitamin C content, up to about 100 times more than an orange! It also contains large amounts of polyphenols (mainly gallic and ellagic acids). Due to its extraordinary antioxidant composition, Kakadu plum is classified as a superfruit. Due to its high content in vitamin C and polyphenols, Superox-C has a strong antioxidant activity.

Suberlift™ is a clinically proven botanical instant smoothing tensor that lifts and firms the skin. Being a natural extract of the cork oak (Quercus suber), it contains the active ingredient suberin. Suberin is a lipophilic macromolecule present in specialised plant cell walls. It has a firming anti-wrinkle action on the skin. Since suberin can be obtained from renewable and sustainable plant sources, it has been identified as a sustainable beauty ingredient that is increasingly used in clean, eco-friendly beauty products.

Hydrolysed suberin provides biofunctional Suberlift™ with an immediate and medium-term skin tightening effect. Suberlift™ creates a microcrystalline network that binds to the skin surface in order to lift and tighten it. Given that this active also boosts collagen synthesis, it aids in improving the skin’s appearance and slows down signs of ageing over time.

T.R.U.E Active Complex is a combination of three traditional Chinese herbs (Astragalus membranaceous root extract, Bupleurum falcatum root extract, and Atractylodes macrocephala root extract) in glycerin.

Overall, the T.R.U.E Active Complex targets three signs of ageing: dehydration, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. It reinforces the barrier function by regulating the expression of the Yin-Yang-1 protein. brighlette™ is a transparent solution that consists of glycerin, water, and 0.11% plankton extract. Plankton extract is a marine microorganism isolated from the southwest coast of Tenerife, a volcanic island in the Canary Archipelago of Spain.

As a biotechnological extract that acts on multiple stages of the pigmentation process, brighlette™ regulates the gene expression of melanogenic signaling proteins to decrease the formation and maturation of melanosomes. It also reduces tyrosinase levels and activity and diminishes melanin uptake by keratinocytes. Moreover, it induces the expression of DNA repair genes.

The result of using brighlette™ is an overall brightening effect, particularly on hyperpigmented spots. brighlette™ is used in anti-ageing skincare products to brighten, regulate, and even out hyperpigmentation and dark spots.

lipochroman® is a tocopherol-analog that acts as a powerful antioxidant. When compared to other well-known antioxidative agents, lipochroman® was found to have higher antioxidative power and subsequently higher reactivity against free radicals. As a result, it provides the skin with wide-spectrum protection from reactive species. By capturing reactive species, lipochroman® prevents protein and DNA damage as well as cell death. 

This active can also modulate gene expression related to detoxification processes. Clinical data showed that lipochroman® protects cellular proteins from reactive carbonyl species (RCS) damage, which at high levels can cause signs of skin ageing. Moreover, lipochroman® also increased gene expression of antioxidant enzymes that metabolises xenobiotics (toxic substances from the environment). Lastly, the antioxidant protects skin cells from the genotoxic effect of pollutants.
